Police arrest man after shooting incident - Claymore

A man has been arrested after allegedly firing a shotgun into a home in Sydney's west this morning.

About 5am (Monday 8 November 2021), police were called to a home at Drysdale Street at Claymore, following reports of shots fired.

Officers were told a man attended the home and fired a shotgun at the premise.

The two occupants – a man and a woman – were not physically injured during the incident.

Detectives from Campbelltown City Police Area Command attended and arrested a 32-year-old man at the scene.

He was taken to Campbelltown Police Station, where he is assisting police with inquiries.

A crime scene has been established and is currently being forensically examined by specialist police.

As inquiries continue, police are urging anyone with information, or dashcam vision from the area, to come forward.

The man is known to the occupants.
