A man has been arrested following an alleged stabbing in Sydney's eastern suburbs overnight.
Just after 10pm (Friday 10 October 2024), emergency services were called to Boundary Street, Paddington, after reports a man had been stabbed.
On arrival, officers attached to Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command were told an altercation occurred before the passenger of a taxi was allegedly stabbed by the driver.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated a 22-year-old man for a stab wound to his face.
He was taken to hospital in a stable condition.
A short time later, a 71-year-old man was arrested nearby and taken to Waverley Police Station, where he is assisting police with inquiries.
A crime scene has been established and the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
