A man was arrested after he was allegedly found in possession of a knife at Burnside this morning.
Police were called to Greenhill Road, Burnside at 10.45am on Sunday 3 May by reports of a man acting suspiciously inside the shopping centre.
Police located and spoke to the man and a subsequent search of his backpack allegedly revealed he was carrying a knife.
The 25-year-old North Adelaide man was arrested and charged with carry offensive weapon.
There were no threats or injuries to any person.
Police will continue to patrol the shopping centre throughout the day to provide a highly visible and reassuring presence to the public and wish to reiterate that there is no threat to community safety.
Police encourage the public to report suspicious behaviour immediately on the police assistance line on 131 444 or Triple Zero (000) in an emergency.
