Police have arrested a man over an alleged hit and run in Mt Prichard earlier this morning.
About 3am (Wednesday 6 March 2024), emergency services were called to the intersection of Pritchard Street and Hemphill Avenue, Mt Pritchard, following reports a man was found with serious injuries.
NSW Ambulance paramedics attended; however, the man was found to have died at the scene.
The man has since been identified as a 31-year-old from Auburn.
Police established a crime scene and officers attached to the Crash Investigation Unit are investigating the incident.
Following inquiries, police seized a Lexus sedan at a home nearby for forensic examination.
Police arrested a 55-year-old man at the home, he has been taken to Fairfield Police Station where he is assisting with inquiries.
