Police have arrested two males following an alleged aggravated burglary in Cranbourne North this morning.
Investigators have been told two offenders broke into the Malmsbury Road home about 10.10am.
The victim, a 37-year-old woman and her two children were home at the time and one of the offenders threatened the woman with a knife.
A black Holden Commodore wagon was stolen during the incident and police located the vehicle travelling at speed inbound on the Monash Freeway a short time later.
The vehicle collided with an unmarked police vehicle as it travelled along the Monash Freeway.
Polair followed the vehicle and stop sticks were deployed on nearby Clyde Road after the vehicle exited the freeway and travelled south.
The vehicle came to a stop at a shopping centre at the intersection of Clyde Road and O'Shea Road and the males fled on foot.
One of the males, an 18-year-old from Doveton, was arrested nearby by the Canine unit and sustained a bite to the arm.
He has been taken to hospital under police guard with non-life threatening injuries.
The second male, a 17-year-old from Clyde North, ran from police and police deployed a conducted energy device.
He was arrested about 200 metres away on Clyde Road and remains in police custody.
