Police Arrest Pair For Drug And Firearm Offences

Police have arrested a man and woman in possession of firearms and drugs at Kings Park yesterday.

About 1.40am, Sunday 2 June, police conducted a traffic stop on Goodwood at Kings Park, checks revealed the driver was disqualified from holding a licence.

Police arrested the driver for driving whilst being disqualified. Patrols searched the 41-year-old man from Milang and located two 3D firearms and ammunition in a bag in his possession.

Police subsequently attended and searched a Glandore property where they located and seized drugs, ammunition, bicycles and power tools which police suspect to have been stolen.

The man was further charged with firearms offences, trafficking a controlled drug, breaching his bail, unlawful possession.

A second occupant of the premises, a 47-year-old woman, was arrested and charged with possessing ammunition without a licence, trafficking a controlled drug and unlawful possession.

They were both refused police bail and are expected to appear in court later today.
