Police arrest teen after jewellery store break-in in CBD, South Australia

Police have arrested a teenager following a break-in on a jewellery store in the CBD overnight.

Just After 11.30pm on Wednesday 6 May, patrols were called to the business in the Rundle Mall after an alarm activation.

Police Security Services captured a person on CCTV leaving the premises and tracked them while directing patrols towards the suspect. Patrols located the teenager a short distance away on Francis Street allegedly in possession of items stolen from the business.

The 15-year-old from Mile End was charged with serious criminal trespass and theft and bailed to appear in the Adelaide Youth Court on 17 July.
