Shortly before 6.40am Saturday 27 April 2024, officers from Burwood Highway Patrol attempted to stop a stolen grey Mazda 3 on the M4 motorway, near Homebush.
Where it failed to stop as directed, a pursuit was initiated. It was terminated a short time late due to excessive speed.
The vehicle came to a stop a short time later after the vehicle crashed into the rear of a truck, near the Church Street on-ramp.
The driver – a 17-year-old boy – was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics for minor injuries before being taken to Granville Police Station.
The other driver was uninjured.
