Police have arrested two teenagers following an evade in Truganina on Thursday, 18 January.
Officers observed the Jeep Cherokee on Hogans Road in Hoppers Crossing before the vehicle quickly took off about 10.30am.
The driver allegedly sped off towards the Tullamarine Freeway, with the vehicle seen reaching excess speeds more than 150km/h.
The Air Wing observed the vehicle stop on Delias Road in Tarneit before a passenger got out of the car and fled the scene.
The Jeep then continued on driving towards Sunbury Road where officers successfully deployed stop sticks, bringing the car to a stop on the Tullamarine Freeway.
The driver, a 17-year-old Tarneit boy and his 14-year-old male passenger also from Tarneit were arrested at the scene without incident.
They are currently assisting police with their enquiries.
It is understood the vehicle may have links to other offences in the area.
