Bunbury Detectives have charged two people as a result of their operation targeting criminal activity in their district relating to drug distribution, money laundering, fraud and breaches of COVID-19 travel restrictions.
Yesterday (28 April 2020), detectives coordinated a vehicle intercept of a Nissan Patrol on the corner of Forrest Highway and Dorsett Road in Lake Clifton.
It is alleged the two people circumvented the Wagerup and Lake Clifton regional checkpoints to conduct criminal activity in the Perth metropolitan area.
During a search of the vehicle and search warrants conducted at homes in Australind and Dalyellup, police located and seized:
• Over $7,000 in cash,
• Approximately 1 kilogram of Methylamphetamine;
• A Sawn-off shotgun;
• Ammunition;
• Approximately 6 grams of MDMA;
• Approximately 7 grams of Cocaine;
• 8 tablets of LSD; and
• Approximately 70 grams of Cannabis.
A 48-year-old woman from Australind and a 35-year-old man from Dalyellup are due to appear in court today on numerous charges including drug and firearm offences and failing to comply with a direction (relating to breaching travel restrictions).
