Police Arrest Woman After Car Crash - Earlwood

A woman has been arrested following an alleged car crash in Sydney's south west.

About 10.30pm (Monday 9 December 2024), police were told a 37-year-old woman was driving a black SUV in Earlwood when she was allegedly followed by another woman, aged 31, driving a black sedan.

The 37-year-old driver stopped and was approached by the 31-year-old woman who allegedly attempted to gain entry to her car and struck the window, resulting in the 37-year-old woman driving away.

The 31-year-old woman allegedly followed the SUV before she allegedly crashed into it multiple times in Hamilton Avenue, Earlwood, rendering it disabled.

The 37-year-old woman was not injured and drove to Kogarah Police Station where she reported the alleged incident.

NSW Ambulance paramedics were called to Hamilton Avenue, Earlwood, and took the 31-year-old woman to St George Hospital for assessment.

Officers attached to Burwood Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation.

Upon her release from hospital, the 31-year-old woman was arrested and taken to Kogarah Police Station.
