Police Attend Serious Crash in Harristown

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating after a motorbike rider was critically injured following a two-vehicle traffic crash at Harristown on Tuesday, July 23.

Initial investigations indicate just before 10am, a white 2005 Proton Jumbuck utility was travelling north along West Street when it collided with a black 2011 Honda Cbr250r motorbike near Stephen Street.

The rider, a 26-year-old man, was transported to Toowoomba Hospital with life-threatening injuries before being flown to Princess Alexandra Hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.

The other driver, a 77-year-old Harristown man, was not significantly injured, and is assisting police with investigations.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and is appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the crash or may have relevant dashcam footage to come forward.

Investigations are ongoing.
