Wodonga police are appealing for public assistance following a pursuit and ramming in Wodonga overnight.
Officers were at the intersection of Chapel Street and Mitchell Drive about 11.05pm last night when they observed an allegedly stolen white Kia SUV drive into a petrol station and then immediately drive out.
It is alleged the female driver attempted to conceal her face with a scarf before the Kia was driven at the police car and collided with the front bullbar.
No police officers were injured during the incident.
The car then drove off along Anzac Parade and officers used the police radio to inform other units of the Kia's direction.
Officers were able to successfully deploy tyre deflation devices on Anzac Parade
The Kia slowed and continued onto the Lincoln Causeway where an allegedly stolen black Camry sedan entered the Causeway and attempted to ram police cars that were following the Kia.
Officers had to take evasive action and the Kia and Camry continued across the border and into New South Wales.
The Kia was dumped in Padman Drive, Albury a short time later and investigators believe the driver got into the Camry which then drove from the area.
Officers wish to speak to anyone who witnessed the incidents or who may have footage.
Anyone with footage or information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
