WA Police Force is inviting members of the community who are considering a career as a police officer to attend the Police Careers Expo being held at the WA Police Academy in Joondalup between 10am and 2pm tomorrow, Saturday 24 July 2021.
This is an event designed for anyone who is interested to learn more about what it's really like to be a Police Recruit and to train at the Police Academy.
With an aim of recruiting 950 new recruits there has never been a better time to apply.
The event will provide an opportunity for potential new recruits to speak to police officers from across the agency about their experiences as a police officer, and allow them to explore what life at the Police Academy would be like.
The event will answer questions relating to:
- The journey through the application process;
- Becoming a Recruit;
- Training and course work;
- Graduating; and
- Launching your career - including career pathways into specialist units.
A range of specialist police units and squads will be on site to provide an insight into their roles, with several having physical displays including equipment and vehicles.
Attendees are encouraged to register their intention to attend by visiting www.letsjoinforces.wa.gov.au, where further information regarding the Police Careers Expo is also available.
