Police Charge 37th Person Under Strike Force Dribs

Thirty-seven people have now been charged following an extensive investigation into an alleged riot outside a church in Sydney's southwest in April this year.

Strike Force Dribs was established to investigate the large-scale public order incident which occurred in Wakeley on Monday 15 April 2024.

Just after 8am today (Thursday 18 July 2024), officers attached to Strike Force Dribs accompanied officers from the South West Metropolitan Operational Support Group to a unit complex on Alan Street, Fairfield, where a search warrant was conducted.

An 18-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Fairfield Police Station where he was charged with riot and break and enter with intent of committing a serious indictable offence.

He has been refused bail to appear at Fairfield Local Court today (Thursday 18 July 2024).

Inquiries under Strike Force Dribs are ongoing.
