Police Charge Four After Kew Home Invasion

Boroondara Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged four teenagers following an alleged home invasion in Kew this morning.

A BMW, which was allegedly stolen from a property in Cranbourne West overnight, arrived outside a house on Sackville Street about 4am.

The occupants, a 46-year-old man and a 53-year-old woman, were woken by the offenders who allegedly entered their bedroom and demanded car keys for two Porsches.

It is alleged the teenagers also stole mobile phones, jewellery, and a wallet.

The two victims were not physically injured during the incident.

The teenagers fled on foot.

The Dog Squad and Air Wing searched for the teens, who allegedly jumped over fences at nearby properties.

They were located on Bramley Court where they were all arrested.

The four boys, aged 16, 16, 17 and 15, who were all from the Dandenong area, were charged with theft of motor vehicle, home invasion and theft.

Two have been remanded into custody and two were bailed to appear before a children's court at a later date.
