Police charge man after 2019 Horsham hit-run

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man following a fatal hit-run collision in Horsham last year.

Following an extensive investigation, detectives charged a 32-year-old man yesterday with dangerous driving causing death, careless driving, fail to stop and fail to render assistance at an accident.

The charges follow a collision between a truck and a cyclist on Dimboola Road on Thursday 19 December 2019 about 6.30am; where it is alleged the driver of the truck failed to stop and left the scene.

The cyclist, a 24-year-old Horsham man, died at the scene.

The South Australia man was bailed to appear before Horsham Magistrates' Court on 10 December.
