Police Charge Man After Antisemitic Incident In Sydney

A man has been charged after an alleged antisemitic incident in Sydney earlier this year.

Police attached to Sydney City Police Area Command began an investigation following a report that antisemitic comments were allegedly made during a live television broadcast about 6:15am on Tuesday 28 January 2025.

Following inquiries, a 48-year-old man was arrested in Darlinghurst about 10pm yesterday (Thursday 3 April 2025).

He was taken to Day Street Police Station where he was charged with knowingly display by public act Nazi symbol without reasonable excuse.

The man was granted bail to appear before Downing Centre Local Court on Thursday 24 April 2025.
