Moorabool Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged two offenders following an alleged aggravated burglary in Bannockburn earlier today.
Investigators were initially called after a man in a Subaru hatch was seen at a service station on the Midland Highway, Bannockburn, allegedly in possession of a gun.
Police were then called a short time later to a Knights Park Crescent home following reports a man and a woman had entered a property about 12.55pm.
It is alleged they threatened the female occupant with the gun before stealing electrical equipment.
The victim was not physically injured and the offenders fled in the Subaru hatch.
Officers responded and observed the car travelling on Knights Park Crescent.
Police, with the assistance from the Air Wing, tracked the vehicle through the Geelong area.
Police deployed tyre-deflation tactics with the vehicle coming to a stop on Winston Court, Grovedale.
One occupant was arrested at the scene and the second occupant fled on foot before being arrested nearby.
A 37-year-old Dandenong South man has been charged with aggravated burglary, firearm offences, assault and serious traffic offences.
He has been remanded to appear at the Geelong Magistrates' Court on 18 October.
A 48-year-old Campbellfield woman was issued with a penalty notice for breaching the Chief Health Officers directions and released pending further enquiries.
