Homicide Squad detectives have today charged a man as part of their investigation into the 2007 death of Joanne Howell in Hughesdale.
A 66-year-old Casterton man was arrested at his home address and subsequently interviewed by police.
He has been charged with one count of murder and will face Hamilton Magistrates' Court shortly.
The charge follows the death of 51-year-old Joanne at her Poath Road apartment on 21 April, 2007.
