Police Charge Man After Drug Cultivation At Deniliquin

A man will face court charged with cultivating cannabis in Deniliquin.

In August 2024, police commenced an investigation into the cultivation of cannabis at a home in Deniliquin.

Today (Monday 26 August 2024), officers attached to Murray Police District attended a home on Cressey Street, Deniliquin.

During a consented search of the house, police allegedly located several bags of cannabis.

Police arrested a 67-year-old man.

The seized cannabis weighted a total of 2.45 kilograms.

The 67-year-old was charged with:

  • · One count of supply cannabis greater than indictable & less than commercial quantity
  • · One count of possess prohibited drug and cultivate prohibited plant less than or equal to small quantity

He was served with a Future Court Attendance Notice to appear at Deniliquin Local Court in October.
