Police Charge Man After Fatal Crash At Seven Hills

A man will appear in court today after being charged following a fatal crash in Sydney's north west.

Shortly after 12am today (Thursday 14 November 2024), emergency services were called to Old Windsor Road, Seven Hills, following reports of a two-vehicle crash.

Officers attached to Blacktown Police Area Command attended and found a white utility had allegedly collided with a black SUV, which then mounted a nature strip and hit the driver of the SVU.

Police officers rendered first aid but the man, aged 28, died at the scene.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.

The 42-year-old driver of the other ute was uninjured.

A crime scene was established, with officers attached to the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit commencing investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The 42-year-old man was arrested and taken to Blacktown Police Station and charged with dangerous driving occasioning death-drive manner dangerous, negligent driving (occasioning death), and driver use mobile phone when not permitted.

He was refused bail to appear before Blacktown Local Court today.
