A man has been charged over a multi-vehicle crash in which a woman died at Eastwood yesterday.
Emergency services were called to Blaxland Road near Doomben Avenue about 5.10pm (Wednesday 13 November 2019) and found a 63-year-old woman, driving a grey Mazda 2, had died at the scene.
A 28-year-old man driving a white Toyota Hilux, travelling south, was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital suffering abdominal pain.
A 28-year-old male passenger in the Hilux was also taken to Royal North Shore Hospital suffering multiple injuries including a suspected pelvic fracture, lacerations, lumbar fractures and lung contusions. He is in surgery today.
A 34-year-old woman driving the third car, also travelling north, was taken to Royal North Shore hospital suffering minor injuries.
Following investigations, the driver of the Toyota Hilux has been charged with dangerous driving occasioning death, dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm, cause bodily harm by misconduct, negligent driving occasioning death and negligent driving occasioning grievous bodily harm.
It is expected the man will be refused bail to appear before court once released from hospital.
Investigations continue.
