Police Charge Man After Fatal Crash In Rutherglen

Police have charged a man following a fatal collision in Rutherglen on 28 March.

It is believed that a Ford SUV collided with a pedestrian near the intersection of Main Street and Warrens Lane about 9.10am.

The pedestrian, a 77-year-old Rutherglen woman, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries but sadly died on 29 March.

The driver of the Ford stopped at the scene and was not injured.

The driver, a 60-year-old Wodonga man has since been charged by summons with careless driving and double parking.

He will appear at the Wodonga Magistrates Court on the 29th of October.
