Police Charge Man After Fatal Stabbing - Marrickville

A man has been charged following an alleged fatal stabbing in Sydney's Inner West on Monday.

About 7.40pm on Monday (23 September 2024), emergency services responded to reports of a man being stabbed on Marrickville Road, Marrickville.

Officers from Inner West Police Area Command and NSW Ambulance paramedics performed CPR on the injured man; however, the 32-year-old could not be revived and died at the scene.

Police secured a crime scene and an investigation under Strike Force Nogales was established to investigate the circumstances surrounding the man's death, with the assistance of detectives from State Crime Command's Homicide Squad.

Following investigations, about 5.40pm yesterday (Wednesday 25 September 2024), a 31-year-old man was arrested at Concord.

He was taken to Burwood Police Station where he was charged with murder.

He has been refused bail to appear before Burwood Local Court today (Thursday 26 September 2024).
