Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man after a fatal crash in Flynn on 8 May.
The 38-year-old man of no fixed address has been charged with dangerous driving causing death, dangerous driving causing serious injury, unlicenced driving and driving unregistered car.
Emergency Services were called to Rosedale Flynns Creek Road about 7.50pm after a Ford Falcon sedan crashed into a tree.
One of the occupants of the sedan, a 31-year-old woman of no fixed address, died at the scene.
Another passenger, an 11-year-old boy, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The 38-year-old was taken to hospital under police guard on Monday.
He will appear at Latrobe Valley Magistrates' Court tomorrow.
