Moorabbin Highway Patrol officers charged a 37-year-old man following a collision in Gardenvale cyclist with serious injuries this morning.
It is alleged a vehicle collided with a cyclist on Nepean Highway near North Road about 5.30am.
The male cyclist was taken to hospital where he remains with serious injuries.
The driver of the car, a Parkdale man, has been charged with dangerous driving causing serious injury.
He was bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 21 October.
