Detectives from the Armed Crime Squad have this afternoon charged a man following an incident where a man was shot in Leitchville yesterday.
Investigators will allege a 65-year-old Gunbower man was shot following a dispute outside a property near Box Bridge about 2.40pm on Sunday 16 February.
He was taken to hospital by an associate before he was airlifted to a Melbourne hospital to be treated for serious injuries.
A 65-year-old Leitchville man was arrested at the scene.
He was interviewed by investigators today and subsequently charged with intentionally cause serious injury, recklessly cause serious injury, reckless conduct endanger life and non-prohibited person use category A/B longarm without a licence.
He was remanded to appear at Bendigo Magistrates' Court on 28 May.
Police believe the parties involved are known to each other.
