Police Charge Man After Lewd Act At Brighton Beach

Bayside Sexual Offences & Child Abuse Investigation Team detectives have charged a man following a lewd act in Brighton yesterday.

Investigators were told a man allegedly exposed himself to a mother and her two daughters as they were walking near the Brighton Beach bathing boxes about 4.15pm.

Police will allege the man exposed himself twice to the six and seven-year-old girls before hiding in nearby bushes.

Air Wing was notified and directed local units to the location of the man.

He was located allegedly hiding in bushland and arrested shortly later.

The 51-year-old Hampton Park man has been charged with sexual activity directed towards another.

He will appear at the Moorabbin Magistrates' Court today.
