Police Charge Man After Police Ramming In Prahran

Fawkner Embona Taskforce detectives have charged a man as part of an ongoing investigation and allegedly ramming a police vehicle in Prahran yesterday.

It is alleged police attempted to intercept a vehicle at the intersection of Little Chapel Street and Princes Close about 3.45pm.

The driver of the vehicle rammed into a police vehicle while attempting to flee the scene.

The driver, a 32-year-old Dallas man, was arrested at the scene.

His passengers, a 32-year-old Prahran woman and a 44-year-old Essendon man, were also arrested at the scene for unrelated matters.

The 32-year-old Dallas man was charged with multiple offences including armed robbery, aggravated burglary, intentionally cause serious injury in circumstances of gross violence and aggravated intentional exposure of police officer to risk by driving.

He will appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court today.

The 44-year-old Essendon man was charged with possess drug of dependence and will appear at the Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 4 October 2024.

The 32-year-old Prahran woman, who sustained a minor injury, was released pending summons for an unrelated matter.
