A man will appear in court tomorrow charged following an alleged pursuit in Sydney's' east today.
About 5.15pm (Friday 28 February 2025), officers attached to Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command were patrolling Bondi Beach, when they attempted to stop a Toyota Corolla on Warners Avenue.
The Toyota failed to stop, and a pursuit was initiated, travelling through Bondi before stopping on Roscoe Street.
The driver, a 26-year-old man, was arrested.
During a search of the vehicle, officers located a mobile phone and cash. Police will allege the man was involved in the ongoing supply of cocaine.
The man was taken to Waverley Police Station where he was charged with police pursuit - not stop - drive recklessly, deal with proceeds of crime, participate in criminal group contribute criminal activity, supply prohibited drug - indictable, and supply prohibited drug on ongoing basis.
He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court tomorrow (Saturday 1 March 2025).
