A man has been charged following a pursuit in Sydney's southwest.
About 5:30pm yesterday, (Thursday 27 March 2025), officers were patrolling in Sadleir when they attempted to stop a Toyota Hilux.
When the driver allegedly failed to stop as directed, a pursuit was initiated.
The pursuit continued through multiple streets in the suburbs of Sadleir, Heckenberg, Mount Pritchard and Bonnyrigg.
With the assistance of Polair, Dog Unit and both Liverpool and Fairfield Police Area Commands, a 24-year-old man was arrested a short time later following a foot pursuit in Brown Road, Bonnyrigg.
He was arrested and taken to Liverpool Police Station where he was charged with:
- Police pursuit - not stop - drive dangerously,
- Class A m/v exceed speed >45 km/h,
- Drive motor vehicle during disqualification period - 2nd offence.
He was refused bail to appear before Liverpool Local Court today (Friday 28 March 2025).
