A man has been charged following an alleged pursuit in Sydney's south west early this morning.
About 12am today (Friday 27 September 20204) officers attached to SWM Operations Support Group were patrolling Woodville Road, Old Guildford when they noticed a Renault sedan allegedly speeding.
When the sedan allegedly failed to stop as directed, a pursuit was initiated before the vehicle hit a kerb, puncturing a tyre.
The vehicle stopped a short time later and the driver, a 19-year-old man – was arrested.
He was taken to Parramatta Police Station where was charged with not stop vehicle when directed to do so, police pursuit – not stop- drive recklessly, drive recklessly/furiously or speed/manner dangerous, drive motor vehicle while suspended, hinder or resist police officer in the execution of duty, and negligent driving (no death or grievous bodily harm).
He was granted conditional bail to appear before Parramatta Local Court on Thursday 17 October 2024.
