A man will appear in court today after allegedly performing sexual acts in front of passengers while travelling on buses in Sydney's inner city and inner west.
Between February and March 2021, police received several reports of a man allegedly performing sexual acts in front of passengers on public transport in Sydney's CBD, Redfern, Haymarket, Broadway and Newtown.
Following extensive inquiries, officers from Police Transport Command North Central's Proactive Crime Team arrested a 64-year-old man at Railway Square, Haymarket, about 2.30pm yesterday (Tuesday 25 May 2021).
The man was taken to Day Street Police Station, where he was charged with ten counts of carry out sexual act with another without consent.
He was refused bail to appear before Central Local Court today (Wednesday 26 May 2021).
