A man has been charged following a fatal stabbing in Southbank this morning.
Police responded to reports of an injured man in an apartment building on Sturt Street just after midnight.
The yet to be formally identified man was treated by paramedics but died at the scene.
A 29-year-old Toolangi man has been charged with murder and was remanded in custody to reappear at the Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 1 October.
