Police Charge Man After Stabbing At Blacktown

A man will face court charged following an alleged stabbing in Sydney's west over the weekend.

About 10.25pm on Saturday 13 October 2024, emergency services were called to David Lane, Blacktown, following reports of an assault.

A 38-year-old man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics for stab wounds to his ribs and hip and was taken to Westmead Hospital in a serious condition.

Police established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Following inquiries, a 33-year-old man was arrested at Blacktown Police Station about 3pm on Sunday 13 October 2024.

He was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and drive motor vehicle during disqualification period.

He was refused bail and will appear before Blacktown Local Court Today (Monday 14 October 2024).
