Police Charge Man After Stabbing - Eastern Suburbs PAC

A man has been charged following an alleged stabbing in Sydney's eastern suburbs overnight.

Just after 10pm (Friday 10 October 2024), emergency services were called to Boundary Street, Paddington, after reports a man had been stabbed.

On arrival, officers attached to Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command were told an altercation occurred before the passenger of a taxi was allegedly stabbed by the driver.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated a 22-year-old man for a stab wound to his face.

He was taken to hospital in a stable condition.

A short time later, a 71-year-old man was arrested nearby and taken to Waverley Police Station and charged with reckless wounding.

He was refused bail and will appear before Parramatta Local Court today (Saturday 12 October 2024).
