Police Charge Man After Stabbing - Leumeah

A man will appear in court today after being charged following an alleged stabbing in Sydney's south on the weekend.

Shortly after 12pm Saturday 15 June 2024, emergency services were called to a sports stadium at Old Leumeah, Leumeah, following reports of a stabbing.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated a man aged in his 20s at the scene for stab wounds to his stomach and back, before he was taken to Liverpool hospital in a stable condition.

Officers attached to Campbelltown City Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

At 8am today (Wednesday 19 June 2024), a 28-year-old man attended Campbelltown Police Station and was arrested.

He was charged with reckless grievous bodily harm and refused bail to appear before Campbelltown Local Court today (Wednesday 19 June 2024).
