Police Charge Man After Tarneit Firearms Incident

Wyndham Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man who allegedly fired a gun in the air in Tarneit yesterday evening.

It is alleged gun was fired in the vicinity of Seasons Boulevard about 11.30pm.

With the assistance of Air Wing, police arrested a man at the scene.

No one was injured during the incident.

A 43-year-old Tarneit man has been charged with:

- reckless conduct endanger life

- prohibited person possess a firearm

- possess loaded firearm public place

- possess firearm with no serial number

- use firearm in a public place

- use firearm in a dangerous manner

- possess ammunition

- possess prohibited weapon without exemption/approval

He has been remanded to appear before Sunshine Magistrates' Court later today.
