Police Charge Man Over Break And Enter In Sydney

A man has been charged following an alleged break and enter in Sydney earlier this month.

About 4.30am (Saturday 7 December 2024), a person broke into a commercial building in King Street, Sydney and allegedly stole over $40,000 worth of goods.

About 7am on the same day, police attached to Sydney City Police Area Command established a crime scene and began an investigation.

Following inquiries, a 40-year-old man was arrested today, Friday 27 December 2024 at Redfern Police Station.

Whilst in custody, the man was taken to Prince of Wales Hospital by ambulance after stating he was unwell. He received treatment and was cleared fit for custody.

He was then taken to Day Street Police Station where he was charged with break & enter (two counts), face blackened/disguised with intent to commit indictable offence and goods in custody.

He was refused bail to appear before Parramatta Local Court tomorrow Saturday 28 December 2024.
