Police Charge Man Over Fatal Stabbing In Kingswood

A man will face court today after being charged with an alleged fatal domestic violence stabbing in Kingswood yesterday.

About 1.40pm yesterday (Monday 8 July 2024), emergency services were called to a home on the Great Western Highway, Kingswood, following reports of a stabbing.

Officers attached to Nepean Police Area Command attended and found a woman, aged 21, with two stab wounds to her chest.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the woman; however, she died at the scene.

Following extensive investigations, about 7.10pm officers arrested a 21-year-old man at Derby Street, Penrith, without incident.

He was taken to Penrith Police Station where he was charged with murder DV.

The 21-year-old was refused bail to appear at Penrith Local Court today (Tuesday 9 July 2024).

Police will allege in court the man and woman were in a domestic relationship.
