Geelong Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man following a stabbing in Geelong West on Sunday.
It is believed a 52-year-old man was in his driveway on Britannia Street when the offender allegedly demanded the man's car keys, attacked him and fled the scene about 2.50am.
The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
A 26-year-old Corio man was later arrested and has been charged with intentionally cause serious injury, attempted aggravated carjacking, conduct endangering life and commit an indictable offence whilst on bail.
He has also been charged with aggravated burglary, theft from motor-vehicle, criminal damage, reckless conduct endangering life, intentionally cause serious injury and bail offences relating to incidents in December 2023.
He has been remanded to face Geelong Magistrates' Court later today.
