A 23 year old Lutana man has been charged over an incident in Lutana last night in which a firearm was allegedly discharged.
Police were called to an address in Lennox Avenue about 9.20pm following an incident where the man had allegedly discharged a firearm into the roof of the property. He then fled the scene.
Police saturated the area and located the alleged offender a short time later.
The firearm was also located on a nearby property.
No one was injured in this incident.
Police have charged the man with a range of offences including firearms and family violence offences.
He has been detained to appear in the Hobart Magistrates Court at 11am today.
