A man has been charged following a pursuit and crash in Sydney's west yesterday.
About 12.45pm (Tuesday 25 March 2025), officers attached to State Crime Command's Raptor Squad attempted to stop a Toyota Camry on Hector Street, Chester Hill.
When it failed to stop, a pursuit was initiated.
The pursuit was terminated when the vehicle crashed into a parked and unattended Toyota Sportivo in the driveway of a residence on Boundary Road, Chester Hill – propelling both cars into the front veranda the house.
Three people were inside the property at the time; however, they were uninjured.
A crime scene was established and Fire and Rescue NSW crews worked to stabilise the structure.
The driver, a 19-year-old man, was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Westmead Hospital with minor injuries, under police guard.
Following his release from hospital, the man was taken to Bankstown Police Station, where he was charged with learner not accompanied by driver/police officer/ tester and police pursuit – not stop – drive dangerously.
He was refused bail to appear before Bankstown Local Court today (Wednesday 26 March 2025).
