Police Charge Man Over Sexual Act At Wollongong

A man has been charged after allegedly exposing himself in Wollongong earlier today.

About 9.50am this morning (Friday 14 February 2025), officers attached to Wollongong Police District attended Burelli Street, Wollongong, after receiving a report a man was allegedly exposing himself in a public place, allegedly in view of female school-aged students.

The man then left the area and allegedly continued to expose himself towards members of the public in Burelli Street.

A short time later, police arrested a 46-year-old man nearby. He was taken to Wollongong Police Station, where he was charged with four offences – intentionally do sexual act with child between the ages of 10 and 16 - and three counts of wilful and obscene exposure in a public place.

The man was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court tomorrow (Saturday 15 February 2025).
