On Thursday 30 September 2021, officers from Eastern Beaches Police Area Command commenced an investigation following reports a 15-year-old girl had been sexually touched by an unknown man while at a grocer in Coogee, about 4pm that day.

The man was taken to Waverley Police Station and charged with three counts of sexually touch another person without consent and one count of intentionally sexually touch child.

He was refused bail to appear before Parramatta Bail Court today (Monday 4 October 2021).
