Police charge man over sexual touching of two police officers - Coogee

A man will face court today charged over the alleged sexual touching of two police officers in Sydney's east overnight.

Just before 11pm (Saturday 21 December 2019), officers from Eastern Beaches Police Area Command attended a licensed premises on Coogee Bay Road, Coogee.

As the uniformed officers moved through the venue, it is alleged a man has squeezed the buttocks of a female constable.

The man was spoken to and while being escorted from the premises, he has allegedly squeezed the buttocks of a male senior constable.

The 26-year-old Irish national was arrested and taken Maroubra Police Station where he was charged with two counts of sexually touch another person without consent, and two counts of assault officer in execution of duty.

He has been refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court today (Sunday 22 December 2019).

The officers were not physically injured.
