Police Charge Man Over Sexually Touching Girl In Sydney

A 73-year-old man will face court today after allegedly sexually touching a teenage girl in Sydney yesterday.

About 6pm (Friday 21 February 2025), police were called to a pharmacy on George Street, Sydney, following reports of a sexual touching.

Officers attached to Sydney City Police Area Command attended and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Police were told a 16-year-old girl was allegedly sexually touched by a man not known to her inside the pharmacy.

Following inquiries, about 12.45am today (Saturday 22 February 2025), police executed a search warrant at a unit on Oxford Street, Blacktown, with the assistance of Public Order and Riot Squad.

A 73-year-old man was arrested at the address and was taken to Blacktown Police Station, where he was charged with sexually touch another person without consent.

He was refused bail to appear before Parramatta Local Court today (Saturday 22 February 2025).
