Police Charge Man Over Stabbing - Fairfield Heights

A man will face court following an alleged stabbing in Sydney's south-west.

About 7.45pm on Sunday (21 July 2024), emergency services were called to a function centre on The Boulevarde, Fairfield Heights, following reports of an assault.

Officers attached to Fairfield City Police Area Command attended the scene and located a 45-year-old man suffering from stab wounds in his shoulder and back.

He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition.

A crime scene was established, and police commenced an investigation into the incident.

Following inquiries, on Monday 22 July 2024, a 20-year-old man attended Fairfield Police Station where he was arrested.

He was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

He was refused bail to appear at Fairfield Local Court today (Monday 22 July 2024).
