A man will face court today charged with a number of alleged driving offences following a crash in Sydney's south-west overnight.
About 11.45pm yesterday (Wednesday 29 December 2021), emergency services were called to Newbridge Road, Chipping Norton, following reports of a crash.
On arrival, officers attached to Liverpool City Police Area Command were told a Toyota Aurion had crashed into a 4WD towing a boat.
Both drivers were uninjured, but the vehicles and boat were damaged.
The driver of the Toyota – a 25-year-old man – was arrested at the scene after allegedly refusing a roadside breath test.
He was taken to Liverpool Police Station where he was charged with drive motor vehicle during disqualification period, negligent driving (no death or grievous bodily harm), not give particulars to other driver, refuse or fail to submit to breath test, and two counts of resist officer in execution of duty.
The man was refused bail to appear before Parramatta Local Court today (Thursday 30 December 2021).
